Opportunities in Timor Leste

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta :Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri
has ordered Indonesian businessmen to grab business opportunities in
Democratic Republic of Timor Leste.
In connection with this, she also ordered all governors of Eastern
Indonesian provinces, particularly Sulawesi provinces, to come to Dili and
open trade relations there.
"We have to grab business opportunities in East Timor as the
country has huge economic potential," said Gorontalo governor Fadel
Muhammad after a meeting with the president that was held at the State
Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon (22/5).
Responding to the President's statement, Muhammad said that Indonesian
businessmen might establish businesses in the agricultural sector,
especially as regards cacao and corn.
However, this matter must be first be coordinated with the Minister of
