East Timor: Victims of recent flooding get food aid

Dili, Aug. 1 (Lusa) - Officials began distributing food aid Friday to more than 700 East Timorese families, devasted by recent floods that killed two people.

More than 59 tons of rice, canned fish, powdered milk, and cooking oil are to be distributed in the areas of Ainaro and Manufahi.

Earlier, 77 tons of similar aid packets were provided to more than 900 flood-affected families in Covalima.
