Lisbon funds training schemes worth euros 1.25mn from 2007-2009
Dili, Nov. 14 (Lusa) - East Timor's minister of labor and community
reintegration, Arsenio Bano, has formalized Portugal's cooperation to his
sector worth euros 1.25 million over the coming three years, officials
have said.
The two-way accord, involving 14 projects, was signed Sunday in Dili at
the end of a three-week trip to Timor by a delegation from Portugal's
ministry of labor and social solidarity.
Dili and Lisbon have cooperated in social reintegration, labor and
social security since 2001.
In this period, Portugal has funded various projects worth a total
euros 9 million, including the National Center for Labor and Vocational
Training at Tibar in Liquica district. (Lusa)
