Hendo talks oil employment opportunities with Rudd
The Northern Territory Chief Minister Paul Henderson has spoken to the Prime
Minister Kevin Rudd about boosting training opportunities for East Timorese
people in Australia.
Mr Henderson wants systems to be put in place to help East Timorese people
and other overseas workers to gain qualifications for the local oil and gas
industry.
[]Kevin Rudd yesterday visited schools and community events in Darwin and
Palmerston during a stopover on his way to international climate talks in Bali.
Mr Henderson said he also used his meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss
the latest developments with the $12 billion Inpex gas plant project in Darwin.
