UNMIT mission approved to another year: President Horta Suara Timor

Security Council had unanimously approved the mandate of the United
Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT) until February 2010.
Carilho becomes new UN Police Chief Timor Post 2 March 2009 - Luis
Miguel Carilho has been appointed as the UN Police commissary in Timor-Leste,
mainly in the support of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste
(UNMIT).
Assassination attempt case is now in the court: Prosecutor-General

said the attempted assassination of President Jose Ramos Horta on 11
February 2008 was submitted to the court on Friday (27/20) for further
legal process.

the Appellate Court President Claudio Ximenes would continue in the post
or not depends on his health report and this would be discussed in the
State Council this week.
