President DR Jose Ramos-Horta Receives Best Wishes From President Bush and The People of The United States.
President of Republic of Timor-Leste, DR Jose Ramos-Horta has received the best wishes of the President of the United States of America, Geroge W. Bush and his wife Laura.
President Bush said that he and his wife Laura join the American people in wishing President Horta a speedy and full recovery.
"The strength you have shown in the face of the assault on you and Timor-Leste's democracy is testimony to the depth of your comitment to a better future," said President Bush.
President Bush also declares that the United States stands with Timor-Leste to uphold democracy and prosperity in the new nation. "We will work closely together to promote the freedom, stability, and development of Timor-Leste," Bush added.
President Ramos-Horta thanks President Bush, his wife Laura, and all the people of the United States. "I apreciate and thank President Bush, his wife Laura, and all of the people of the United States for their prayers and solidarity with me and the people of Timor Leste," said the Nobel Peace Laureate.
President Ramos-Horta has moved from Royal Darwin Hospital to the Darwin Private Hospital. The doctors are very pleased with the Presidents progress.
