President SBY, Lots of Timor-Leste money is being spent in Bali Hotels
President of the Republic Susilo Bambang Yudoyono (SBY) said that, lots of money from Timor-Leste is being spent in Hotels in Bali, Indonesia, because members of government and directors travel a lot to Indonesia.
President SBY said this to Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao in Bali, recently.
"Just last December, I attended the democracy forum in Bali, Indonesia, I met with the Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudoyono, and we were joking around," added PM Xanana.
Xanana underscored that, on that occasion, he said to President SBY, you think that its only you who help TL, TL also helps your economy, surprising President SBY, so he continued to tell him of how when TL businessmen win public contracts, even before they have completed these contracts, they have already spent their money at Bali Hotels.
With this, President SBY also said, that it was not just businessmen who go to Bali, but also our directors and ministers who go to Bali.
"Because of this we can say that the TL and Indonesian economies are mutually beneficial to each other," declared PM Xanana.
