development through a subject matter expert exchange (SMEE) program held
for three days here as of Tuesday.
The program was opened by Commodore Amri Husaini, deputy assistant for
security to Indonesia`s navy chief of staff.
"The activity is aimed at giving navy officers analysis capability
for dealing with terrorism threats and carrying out strategic managerial
duties," he said.

information and intelligence between the Indonesian navy and USPACOM.
Materials discussed include security of the Malacca Strait, the task of
intelligence in supporting the navy`s main duties and the task and

"We hope the activity could increase the intelligence outlook of
navy personnel for carrying out duties in the respective units," he
said.

Mc Andrew paid a courtesy call on the deputy chief of the Navy Education
and Training Command, Brigadier General Arif Suherman at his headquarters
