President receives honorary status from Army's Special Forces

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received honorary status Thursday from the Army's Special Force Command (Kopassus) for his support and dedication to develop the force.

The award ceremony was held at Kopassus' headquarters in Cijantung and led by Indonesian Army Chief of Staff Gen. Agustadi Sasongko Purnomo.

The President also witnessed a performance by the Kopassus counterterrorism unit, escorted by Agustadi and Kopassus commander Maj. Gen. Pramono Edhie Wibowo.
