Applicant Checklist
July 2, 1999

• Complete IFET OP Application
• Interview
• Submit two references
• Submit medical release form (doctor's statement of good health)
• Complete IFET OP training
• Be selected by IFET-OP as a member of this project
• Sign IFET OP Code of Conduct (including UN Code of Conduct)
• Sign IFET OP Release of Liability
• Submit copy of passport (valid until at least March 2000)
• Submit 1 passport photo to IFET OP and have 3 other photos to bring to East Timor
• Get all necessary immunizations
• Complete UNAMET accreditation form and fax it to Dili, including your return fax number and the city at which Indonesian consulate you will get your visa
• Obtain social-cultural visa from Indonesian consulate
• Get international drivers licence (if I'm planning to drive)
• Give up-to-date emergency contact information
• Develop personal network to support me while I am in East Timor
• Let IFET OP know my date of departure and return, and how to best and most quickly reach me until my date of departure
• Read all preparatory materials and do my own research
• Ensure that I have the finances to cover the trip
