Border problems plague RI-E. Timor
KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: A senior Indonesian government official said on Friday East Timor's separation from Indonesia resulted in several problems, most notably concerning 1,187 plots of land located on the border between the two countries.
The plots of land are located in three separate places along the border, according to East Nusa Tenggara Deputy Governor Frans Leburaya.
The East Nusa Tenggara government has demanded the central government resolve all the outstanding border disputes with East Timor to prevent any possible conflicts. -- JP
