KAKOAK AIRLINES AND INDONESIA'S MNA TO SERVE KUPANG-DILI ROUTE

KUPANG, Indonesia, March 8 Asia Pulse - State-owned airline company
Merpati Nusantara Airlines (MNA) will cooperate with East Timor based
Kakoak Airlines to serve the route between Kupang and East Timor.
East Timor President Xanana Gusmao and his Transport Minister Ovide de
Jesus Amaral are expected to be among the passengers in the maiden flight
from Dili to Kupang on March 18, spokesman of the East Nusatenggara
regional administration Umbu Saga Anakaka said here on Monday.
The family of the president is scheduled to stay in Kupang until March
20 and will return to Dili later that day, Umbu said.
He said he could not get confirmation about Xanana's schedules in
Kupang.
He said Kakoak Airlines which is still under the management of MNA with
aircraft and crew members provided by MNA is expected to become East Timor
National airline company.
