TEMPO SEMANAL A weekly newspaper for every suco

TEMPO SEMANAL is a new, free weekly newspaper aimed at reaching every village in Timor-Leste, making it a truly national newspaper. The paper’s mission is to objectively and responsibly inform the nation in the national language, Tetum, on social, political and economic affairs.

TEMPO SEMANAL is dedicated to addressing the serious fragmentation of communications in Timor-Leste by distributing an informative weekly to all 442 villages via a range of networks. Journalists will also travel to the sub-districts and villages to assist with distribution, and to bring back stories.

The newspaper’s management includes the highly acclaimed journalist and film-maker José Belo, who is director and publisher, and the board is comprised of lawyers Aderito de Jesus Soares and Maria Leong, and journalist Paul Cleary.

Advertising: Any organisation or business wanting to reach a national readership should advertise in this newspaper. The paper will be a highly effective vehicle for delivering information about health, education, national security and product marketing.

Inserts: The paper is willing to include acceptable inserts from organizations or businesses wanting to reach a national audience.
