East Timor: PM Alkatiri in Cape Verde to boost justice, finance cooperation

Cidade da Praia, Oct. 28 (Lusa) - Prime Minister Mari Alkatiri arrives in Cape Verde Friday on an official visit to the archipelago aimed to reinforce bilateral ties, particularly in the finance and justice sectors.

Alkatiri, making his first trip to Cape Verde, is accompanied by Minister of Finance and Planning Maria Boavida and Justice Minister Domingos Sarmento.

A delegation of Timorese specialists from various sectors and businessmen are also traveling with Alkatiri, who meets his Cape Verdean counterpart, José Maria Neves, at the start of his three-day trip.

Officials from Cape Verde's CI state investment agency said some Timorese officials would remain in the islands for an extra week to study Praia's successful track record in attracting overseas investment.
